Overview
The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Electricity, in partnership with Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), invites you to participate in the 2026 Energy Storage as Transmission Forum.
This one-day forum will bring together utilities, transmission owners and operators, developers, regional transmission organizations, independent operators, regulators, researchers, and other industry stakeholders to explore the opportunities and challenges associated with deploying energy storage as transmission assets.
Through technical presentations and facilitated discussion, participants will explore current and regulatory considerations, implementation challenges, and opportunities to support broader deployment of storage technologies that enhance transmission system performance.
